Newcastle agree deal for Chelsea winger

Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign Chelsea winger, Kenedy according to reports today.

The Magpies got off to a decent start to life back in the  Premier League, winning three of their first five games. However, their fortunes have turned around drastically, and are now without a win in nine games, leaving them in the relegation zone.

They face a difficult festive fixture list, playing a resurgent West Ham and unstoppable Man City in the next six days, before slightly more favourable games against Brighton and Stoke over the New Year period.

The club are currently involved in takeover talks, with fans hoping the new investors will be able to bolster Rafa Benitez’s squad.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Benitez has already agreed a deal to make his first signing on the January window, with the loan signing of Chelsea’s Kenedy having being agreed.

They claim that they have agreed to pay Chelsea a loan fee for the player, having being interested in signing him during the summer.

Kenedy was sent home from Chelsea’s preseason tour of China in disgrace and forced to apologise following racial comments made on his social media account.

The Brazilian moved to Stanford Bridge two years ago in a £6m move from Fluminense.
