Gary Neville reckons that fatigue in Liverpool’s outstanding front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could potentially stop Jurgen Klopp’s side winning the Premier League this season.
Former Manchester United defender Neville has often questioned whether a Klopp team can compete in multiple competitions due to the level of intensity the German demands from his players.
Liverpool face Man City in a top of the table clash tomorrow at Anfield and Neville revealed that he was massively surprised that Klopp did not rest any of front three for the midweek game away to Napoli.
“I thought Liverpool were very good against Chelsea,” Neville said on Sky Sports‘ Friday Night Football.
“Even if they’d lost I’d say it was a good performance, but Napoli worries me.
“I was surprised the front three were playing.
“I do genuinely believe Liverpool have a chance to win the league, but the biggest obstacle is the potential tiredness of that front three.”
