Nabil Fekir could still leave Lyon this summer, despite a move to Liverpool collapsing earlier this month.
The France international, who is currently over in Russia taking part in the World Cup, was widely tipped to join Liverpool this summer, with some reports even suggesting that he has already filmed his ‘welcome’ interview with the clubs official TV channel.
However that move to Anfield collapsed after reports suggested Liverpool had concerns regarding his medical results, leaving Lyon to announce that they would be pulling out of the deal.
Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas has announced that his star player could still leave, with reports of interest coming from Real Madrid:
“At (one) stage it was foreseen he would go to Liverpool, I had given it the green light for it to go ahead,” Aulas told RT France.
“But it just took too long, things were just too drawn out.
“He is an exceptional player, he keeps the ball in little space and has an incredible talent.
“The fact that things didn’t conclude with Liverpool and it didn’t happen in that time-frame has peaked the interest of a lot of other clubs, Real Madrid – but not just Real Madrid – and their new coach (Julen Lopetegui).
“There is a lot of interest from other camps, so everything is possible.”
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the highly rated playmaker in recent months.
