Mourinho has a pop at Valencia while giving fitness update ahead of Bournemouth game

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has given an injury update ahead of his side’s Premier League clash away to Bournemouth tomorrow.

The Red Devils boss confirmed that club captain Antonio Valencia is still not available after missing the last month of action after having surgery on his mouth.

Valencia is allegedly one of the players that Mourinho has fallen out with this season, after the Portuguese coach criticised the right-back for arriving back for pre-season training out of shape, and many are taking his latest comments about the Ecuadorian as a dig at the player.

“I saw a funny post from him. He says he ‘work, work, work, work’. He should also say ‘alone, I am injured and cannot train with the team’,” Mourinho told his Friday press conference.

“It looked like he was working really hard. He was.

Mourinho also went on to confirm that Diogo Dalot and Marouane Fellaini are still out injured, although attacking pair Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard are available for selection having returned to training.

“But it was without the ball and the team. Fellaini and Dalot are still missing. Jesse (Lingard) and Alexis (Sanchez) are in much better position than last week. Now after one good week of work they are ready to play,” Mourinho added.
