Mourinho set to sign Man United contract extension

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to sign a contract extension with the club until 2021, according to reports on Sky Sports tonight.

Rumours were rife just a few months ago that the serial winning Portuguese coach was unhappy at Old Trafford, and he was heavily linked with a move to PSG. However, reports now suggest that Mourinho is happy with how his club has done everything they can to sign his preferred transfer targets, and is set to commit himself to a long-term contract.

The former Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss has won eight league titles in four different countries, and has also won the Champions League twice in a trophy laden managerial career.

If United also complete the signing of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez in the coming days, as they are widely expectedly to do, it would cap a pretty dramatic week at Old Trafford.

It would also be a clear indication that Mourinho is prepared to stick around in Manchester to try and wrestle back supremacy in the city from his arch-rival Pep Guardiola.
