Jose Mourinho has once again admitted that Alexis Sanchez is struggling and revealed that he is out of Manchester United’s game against Everton this weekend.
Having established himself as one of the most talented players in the Premier League during this three-and-a-half year spell at Arsenal, Sanchez has struggled to replicate that form at Manchester United since his arrival back in January.
The Chilean has managed to find the net just four times in 26 appearances for the Red Devils, and with Anthony Martial hitting a decent spell of form, he could struggle to force his way back into the starting line-up.
With United set to face Everton on Sunday afternoon, Jose Mourinho has been talking about the struggles of his number 7.
“In this moment he’s struggling, because he’s injured and because he comes to the Chelsea match to try to help the team, but his physical condition was not good and then he had to stop and he was not available for Juventus and he is not available for tomorrow again,” Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference.
“So now the point is to be physically in the best conditions.
“I think he’s the kind of player that needs to be really sharp to play his best game.”
Sanchez’s last goal came just before the international break when he headed the last-gasp winner in Manchester United’s dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle.
