Jose Mourinho believes Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal should be the manager of the season after the job he has done in South Wales.
Carvalhal joined the Premier League club back in December, just days after being sacked by Sheffield Wednesday. At the time, the Swans were rooted to the bottom of the table and looking almost certainties to finally drop back down to the Championship.
However, since his arrival, the Portuguese has guided Swansea up to 15th, three points clear of the drop zone, and has seemingly instilled a new confidence in the side.
Swansea were defeated this weekend, losing 2-0 at Old Trafford to Manchester United, and speaking after the game, United boss Jose Mourinho was full of praise for his compatriot, saying he should be the manager of the season.
Mourinho said: “This guy is going to keep Swansea in the Premier League.
“He is the manager of the season because they were dead and he is going to save them!”
