Jose Mourinho has admitted that there is a chance that new faces could arrive at Manchester United in January.
The Portuguese boss admitted that he is not usually a fan of making signings in the mid-season transfer window, but speaking ahead of this weekends game against West Bromwich Albion, Mourinho said that new arrivals next month are a possibility.
“I’m not a big defender of the January market but there are players and situations that sometimes you have the chance to do and you shouldn’t lose that chance.
“I don’t like the January market just to buy. But if you can buy one you would buy in June, with the chance a few months before, then great.”
United have been linked with moves for Mesut Ozil and Danny Rose as Mourinho looks to add more creativity to the midfield as well as strengthen in the left back department. The club have also been linked with moves for Willian and Antoine Griezmann, although the United boss refused to discuss specific players:
“I don’t speak about players, especially players who belong to other clubs.”
Griezmann and Ozil are also attracting the attentions of La Liga leaders Barcelona.
