Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has issued an injury update ahead of his sides Premier League encounter against Watford at Vicarage Road tomorrow evening.
The Portuguese coaches side will be looking to carry forward the positive momentum of their impressive 2-0 victory away to Burnley before the international break, although the 55-year-old revealed today that he will still be without several of his first-team squad for the trip South.
“Fellaini is a doubt. Ander Herrera is out. He had one little problem in one medical in training during the week, so he is also a doubt.” Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference.
“Diogo Dalot and Rojo play tonight with under-23s and if they play 90 mins like we expect, it will be the end of their recovery process and we will consider them ready to be back next week for full competition.
Mourinho also went on to confirm that left-back Luke Shaw is in line to be selected, despite reports emerging earlier this week suggesting the 23-year-old would be unavailable after being knocked unconscious during England’s recent friendly loss to Spain.
“I don’t know – we still have a training session” The former Chelsea boss added.
“Contrary to some news, to some opinions, by the protocol point of view and according to our doctor, he will be free to play.
“The only situation we have to analyse is if you are going to play him when, during the week, he was not training with the team or if, even so, he decides to play.”
