Manchester United have been handed a boost with the return of a key player ahead of Saturday’s crunch fixture against Liverpool.
United still have a lengthy injury list, with at least seven players having been unavailable for Mondays win over Crystal Palace through injury, including Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, Anthony Martial and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all sidelined.
Eric Bailly has recently returned to first team action, although is yet to start at match, while Ibrahimovic and Fellaini have recently returned to training following their respective layoffs.
Asked if Eric Bailly was fully fit, the Portuguese confirmed that he is ‘ok’ while also confirming he has one key player that is now ready to return:
“He was fully fit for the last couple of weeks, but yes, he is ok. The only one who is back to the team is Marouane Fellaini.”
Fellaini has been out of action for a little over a month, last featuring on 31st January in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
There are doubts hanging over the midfielders future at the club however, with Besiktas and Paris Saint Germain both thought to be keen on signing the Belgian, who has less than four months remaining on his current deal at the club.
