The most expensive football squads in European football have been revealed by Uefa – and Manchester United are right at the top.
Indeed, the Red Devils have amassed the most expensive group of players ever, beating Real Madrid’s record from 2020, according to the sporting body’s latest report into club finances.
Uefa tallied the transfer cost of every team in Europe, with Man United‘s squad easily the most expensive at almost €1.5 billion.
Manchester City have the next most expensive squad, followed by Chelsea and Real Madrid, all of whom have spent over a billion euros on their current teams.
Nine of the top 20 most expensive squads are in the Premier League, demonstrating the financial prowess of clubs in the English top flight.
