Morata rules out AC Milan move but Man Utd & Chelsea remain interested

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has ruled out a move to AC Milan while rumours about a move to Man Utd & Chelsea continue.

Reports in Spain last week claimed that the Spanish striker had flown to Italy to secure a move to the San Siro as part of the Italian club’s summer spending spree.

However speaking after last nights Champions League final, where he was a late substitute for Real Madrid, the Spain international confirmed he will not be making a move back to Italy:

“No, I certainly won’t be in Italy. I want to continue here and it’s difficult. I can only tell you what I read in the papers, I know nothing else.”

Morata would personally like to stay at twelve time European Champions, but after only making 14 La Liga starts this season, the striker knows he needs game time ahead of next summer’s World Cup. Despite his limited game time, he has ended the season as Real Madrid’s second highest scorer, netting 20 goals for Los Blancos.
Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be interested in signing Morata as both clubs weigh up their striking options.

Both clubs are also believed to be interested in Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who would cost significantly more than the newly crowned Champions League winner.
