Morata becomes latest Chelsea player to praise Sarri’s style

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has become the latest Blues star to admit he prefers playing under new boss Maurizio Sarri than under the Stamford Brigde clubs previous coach Antonio Conte.

Spain international Morata opened his Premier League goalscoring account against Arsenal at the weekend, as the Blues ran out 3-2 winners over their London rivals at Stamford Bridge.

£58 million striker Morata admitted after Saturday’s victory that he feels his game is much better suited to the tactical approach deployed by Sarri.

“For me, the most important thing is the way we play. Last season it was direct balls and for me to protect the ball in the air and I think it’s not my best quality,’’ he told Chelsea’s official website.

“Now I can attack the space, I can play one touch and go in the area for the crosses. I think it’s better for me and we play better. We need to improve little things, but I think in this way we are very dangerous and can play against any team in the world.”
