Monaco team news
Monaco remains in the grip of a significant injury crisis, with long‑term absentees Takumi Minamino and Mohammed Salisu both sidelined by cruciate ligament injuries and omitted from the club’s updated UEFA squad.
Paul Pogba is also out with a calf problem and has been left off the knockout‑stage list, Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro admitting in January that the plan for his rehabilitation “is not working” and that there is still no clear return date.
Goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky (knee), defender Eric Dier (thigh), Kassoum Ouattara (calf) and Christian Mawissa (hamstring) also miss out.
Coach Sébastien Pocognoli has further concerns over Ansu Fati, Lamine Camara and Maghnes Akliouche, all of whom picked up muscular or impact issues in the recent 3–1 win over Nantes and will face late fitness tests.
Despite the injuries, January signing Simon Adingra – who scored twice against Nantes – is expected to feature again in attack, while Aleksandr Golovin is available as his weekend red card does not apply to European competition.
PSG team news
PSG’s absentee list is shorter, with young midfielder Quentin Ndjantou sidelined after thigh surgery, Fabian Ruiz still recovering from a left‑knee injury, and Senny Mayulu also ruled out.
Joao Neves and Ousmane Dembele, both felt minor issues in the 3–1 defeat at Rennes, but are expected to be fit for the trip to the Principality.
Dembele made headlines by criticising what he saw as individualistic play after that Rennes loss, insisting “we need to play for Paris Saint‑Germain to win matches… if each of us plays for ourselves, it’s not going to work.”.
Midfielder Joao Neves has since stressed that the dressing‑room mood remains positive, explaining that Dembélé’s words were meant to reinforce the importance of collective play and that “the atmosphere in the locker room is good, the players are confident, the mood is good, we’re ready for tomorrow.”
Form
Monaco
Recent results of Monaco include a 3–1 home win over Nantes, a 0–0 draw away to Nice, a 3–1 defeat at Strasbourg, a 4–0 victory against Rennes and a goalless home draw with Juventus.
That up‑and‑down run leaves Monaco eighth in Ligue 1, but Pocognoli’s side are unbeaten in their four Champions League home games (one win, three draws) this season, keeping clean sheets in the most recent three at Stade Louis II.
PSG
PSG come to this match after a disappointing 1-3 defeat against Rennes. They now sit second in the league table with 51 points from 22 matches, one point behind league leaders Lens.
This will be the first European meeting between Monaco and PSG, with their rivalry until now confined to domestic competitions.
Predicted lineups

PSG: Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
