Monaco’s Thomas Lemar has demanded his club sell him to Arsenal according to a report today.
Lemar has been one of the Gunners top transfer targets of the summer window, with a £40m move being speculated. However the Frenchman is concerned that the Ligue 1 Champions are ready to block any potential transfer away from the club.
Monaco have already lost Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea, and Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, while Benjamin Mendy is widely expected to join the Portuguese at the Etihad.
The futures of Fabinho and Kylian Mbappe are also in doubt, leaving Lemar to fear that the French club could try to block any transfer.
The Sun are reporting that the 21-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and is ready to demand a transfer, in what would be a ‘dream move’.
The Telegraph also claims that Arsenal will give up their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe for a world record fee, in an attempt to secure a deal for Lemar’s services.
The youngster was a key part of Monaco’s success last season, scoring 14 goals in 55 appearances.
