Manchester United have been tipped to sign Monaco midfielder Fabinho this summer by former Arsenal winger, Robert Pires.
The energetic Brazilian has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for a number of months, with Jose Mourinho reported to be interested in signing him this summer.
However, with Monaco cashing in on the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva, they were reluctant to allow Fabinho to join the list of departures.
Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev recently admitted that that Fabinho will be allowed to leave in the future.
Now, Robert Pires has tipped the 24-year-old to eventually move to Manchester United, while hinting that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola could challenge their rivals for his signature. Speaking about Manchester United’s interest to bwin, Pires said:
“I think this could happen in January, or next summer.
“Manchester City could also be interested but they’ve got Fernandinho at the moment, who is playing very well.”
Pires is currently a coaching the first team at Arsenal.
