Henrikh Mkhitaryan has urged his Arsenal teammates to ‘stay focussed’ after they moved back into the top four at the weekend.
The Gunners 2-0 win over Southampton – in which Mkhitaryan scored one and assisted the other – saw them leapfrog Manchester United into the Champions League qualifying places.
However, the Armenian playmaker has insisted that he and his teammates are not focussing on their current position in the table, and are just aiming to win every game.
“We are not looking at the table at the moment because we still have lots of games to play,” he said to The Daily Mail.
“The most important is to be focused and to be ready for every game because we are not going to think that we are in the top four and nothing will change.
“We just have to keep working and trying our best to win three points in every game.
“It is not the main thing at the moment.
“The season is not done, we still have lots of games to play.
“The most important thing is to stay focused and keep winning games.”
The 30-year-old has been restricted to just 16 league appearances this season, but has still managed to scored five times and provide two assists.
