He has only been at the club a few weeks, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan has made a huge claim that Mesut Ozil is one of the best in the world.
Mkhitaryan moved to the Emirates as part of a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move to Manchester United in the January transfer window. Shortly after, he was joined by his former Borussia Dortmund Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with whom he formed an excellent partnership at the Westfalenstadion, especially in the 2015/16 season.
Arsenal were further boosted by the news that Mesut Ozil signed a new long term contract, and when asked if he was looking forward to forming a partnership with Ozil and Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan said:
“Yes of course.
“Not only us three but as well the players that are playing next to us.
“They are having a big impact on the team’s success and the playing style of Arsenal and of course we are trying to do the best.
“Everyone knows that Mesut is one of the best players in the world.”
Mkhitaryan has a great start to his Arsenal career, bagging three assists on his home debut against Everton, including one for the Gabon International Aubameyang, who netted on his first appearance in the Premier League.
The Armenian also revealed why he decided to move to Emirates.
