Henrikh Mkhitaryan is said to be intent on using the fact that he is the key to Manchester United securing the signature of Alexis Sanchez to his advantage, according to reports in The Mirror.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants the talented Armenian to be included in any potential deal, although personal terms are yet to be agreed.
Mkhitaryan is currently on £150,000 a week at Old Trafford and is said to want a significant pay rise and a substantial ”golden handshake,” payment from United in order to swap Old Trafford for the Emirates.
This story has been dominating the headlines over recent days, and when reports emerged recently that Sanchez had agreed personal terms with United and Man City had pulled out of the race for his signature, it seemed as if the deal would be concluded imminently.
It now seems however, that the only stumbling block is whether Mkhitaryan agrees to move to Arsenal or not, and not any issue from Sanchez or his camp.
