Tyrone Mings has issued a rousing message to Aston Villa fans to get get everyone rowing in the same direction.
The Villains have been struggling of late in the Championship, winning just two of their last 14 games in the league and slipping out of contention for a spot in the playoffs.
Centre-back Mings is now trying to rally the troops in order to get the campaign back on track for Aston Villa, reminding the fans and players that everyone has the same goal.
“I put on social media after the weekend that we all need to stick together – management, staff, players, loan players,” Ming told Villa’s official website.
“We need to pull in the same direction and ultimately try and achieve the same goal at the end of it.
“Everyone is aiming for the same thing. It’s important that we stick to those beliefs, whether it’s going right or going wrong at any given time.
“We’re fully aware of what’s required from ourselves. Hopefully we can put it right sooner rather than later.”
The 25-year-old has been happy with his own performances since joining Villa, appearing four times and contributing one goal since joining on loan from Bournemouth in January.
“I’m pleased with them, but I’d have swapped four average performances for four wins.
“Every player has a responsibility to give their all. That’s all I’m doing. If everyone does their job then hopefully the team will benefit from that.
“I don’t think we’re far away from turning negative results into positive ones.
“But when you are in periods like this you have to work even harder to get out of it and turn it around. That’s what we’re doing.”
