Welcome to another edition of Tweets of the Week. We’re sticking with the name because Xs of the Week sounds godawful. 

There was a lot for Football Twitter to stew over this week. The transfer drama finally cooled down a bit, as Chelsea got their main targets while Liverpool actually signed a midfielder!

Elsewhere, England lost the Women’s World Cup final to Spain in Australia and Lionel Messi won his first trophy with Inter Miami.

After missing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Liverpool might want to rethink their transfer strategy.

Though Liverpool did end up signing a midfielder in Wataru Endo. And Jurgen Klopp handed him his debut almost immediately after the deal was confirmed.

And after watching how badly Moises Caicedo’s Chelsea debut went, they’re probably feeling pretty good about how things turned out.
