Bryan Mbeumo has demanded more from himself next season despite a ‘good start’ at Manchester United.
Mbeumo signed for Manchester United from Brentford in a deal worth £71m last summer and has scored nine goals in the Premier League.
The Cameroon international has helped the Red Devils secure a return to the Champions League for next season, after sealing a top-five finish in the Premier League table.
Alongside fellow recruits Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha, Mbeumo has improved the goal threat of a Manchester United side that struggled last season.
However, he has backed himself for an even better campaign in 2026/27, after a season of transition at Old Trafford.
“There have been some good bits this season. But there are some bits to improve. I had a good start, I would say. But every year in my career I have always come back better than I was before,” he told the iPaper.
“Every season I want to improve. If it hasn’t been enough, it can only be better. I always wanted more, even if it was going really well. I always tried to beat records.
“I’m still happy because obviously it’s been a top season, especially collectively, so I think with hard work, it can only get better.”
