Matic seeks Solksjaer talks amid Inter Milan interest

Nemanja Matic will seek talks with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regarding his future at Old Trafford, amid interest from Inter Milan.

Solskjaer is believed to be interested in adding to his midfield options this summer, with Manchester United having lost Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera over the last six months, and the Red Devils apparently keen on pursuing deals for Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff and Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes.

According to ESPN, Matic is reportedly seeking assurances that he remains in the Norwegian’s plans ahead of the coming season, with the Serbia international attracting interest from Inter Milan.

Newly appointed Inter boss Antonio Conte is apparently keen on a reunion with Matic, with the 30-year-old having played a key role under the former Chelsea boss during their 2016/17 title-winning season at Stamford Bridge.

The report adds that Inter are willing to offer £10m plus Belgium international Radja Nainggolan, in an attempt to prise the defensive midfielder from Old Trafford.

Matic will join the United squad when they fly to Australia for the club’s pre-season tour on Sunday, facing Perth Glory and Leeds United before a meeting with Matic’s suitors, Inter, in Singapore on July 20.

Inter Milan are also trying to compile a financial package for United striker Romelu Lukaku, although the Belgian is now also attracting the attention of Juventus.
