Gabriel Martinelli has turned down the opportunity to join Galatasaray, despite the Turkish club making an offer of around £38.9 million for the Arsenal winger.
According to Sky Sports News, Martinelli is not interested in a move to Turkey at this stage. Arsenal, however, remain open to offers for the Brazil international as they assess their squad before the transfer window closes.
Martinelli has one year remaining on his current contract, with Arsenal holding an option to extend it for another 12 months.

The winger’s decision comes as Arsenal continue to weigh up both arrivals and departures. Mikel Arteta said on Friday that the club expected movement in both directions before the window shuts, although he stressed that Arsenal would have to respond to how the market develops.
“It’s always the case; there’s an opportunity there to go both ways and we’ll have to see how the market responds and what we as a club can do,” Arteta said at his pre-Community Shield press conference.
Arsenal have already sanctioned several departures this summer, while Arteta has indicated that further changes remain possible as the club seek to refine the squad.
Martinelli’s immediate future, nevertheless, remains unresolved. Arsenal are understood to be willing to listen to offers, but the player’s rejection of Galatasaray means the Turkish club will need to consider whether to pursue the move further.
