Marseille have entered the race to sign Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.
The Ligue 1 outfit are interested in a deal to sign the defender, and are ready to rival Benfica and Premier League teams to secure a deal.
Tosin is considering his options at Chelsea after a limited role last season. The 28-year-old started only eight games in the Premier League and faces an uncertain future following the arrival of Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace. Levi Colwill’s return from injury has added further competition for a centre-back place in Xabi Alonso’s side.
Chelsea are in a strong position, with Tosin contracted at Stamford Bridge until 2028. However, suitable offers will be considered for a player who signed from Fulham on a free transfer two years ago. Sky Sports are reporting that Marseille are the latest team to register an interest.
The centre-back’s sale would count as complete profit for the Blues, who are weighing up sales to balance the books after significant investment again this summer.
Alongside Tosin, Axel Disasi is expected to depart before the close of the transfer window, while Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap and Pedro Neto could all move on.
