Marco Silva urges Everton to ‘create more chances’

Marco Silva has said that his side need to ‘create more chances’ to turn around their current disappointing run of form.

Everton have had a difficult season under Silva, where they currently sit down in ninth in the Premier League table, 17 points off the top six but only nine points above the relegation zone.

They have lost five of their last six and have only won four of their last 16 matches in all competitions, scoring just 20 goals in that time.

They are currently averaging 12.4 shots per game, and Marco Silva has urged his players to be more creative in front of goal.

“It is one of the areas where we have to be more consistent, to create more chances to score,” Silva told evertontv.

“When you are not playing with the same confidence…. and you have to put some creativity in your game, the final decision in attack does not always come.

“It is up to us to work on that and to create more chances to score.”
