Marcelo has ‘called Juventus’ to try and join Ronaldo at Juventus

Real Madrid star Marcelo has reportedly ‘called Juventus,’ in a bid to follow his former Los Blancos team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin.

According to TuttosportRonaldo had said before that he would like to play with Marcelo again, and had reportedly urged the Juventus board to bring Marcelo in.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo worked together on Real Madrid’s left flank for the past nine years, so the chemistry between the pair is incredibly strong, hence why Ronaldo is so eager to reunite with the Brazilian.

The pair had won everything there was to win with Real Madrid, so the prospect of joining Ronaldo in Turin might be made even more tempting by the new challenge that’s offered.

However, Juventus would only likely be interested in Marcelo if they lost their current left-back, Alex Sandro, this summer.

Tuttosport claim that it would take a bid of around £36m for Juventus to let Alex Sandro leave.
