Manchester United have approached Fulham regarding the signing of Ryan Sessegnon according to reports.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting young, hungry players this summer as he bids to overhaul his squad at Old Trafford, with the Manchester United boss having made contact with relegated Fulham over England U21 star Sessegnon.
The 19-year-old made 35 appearances for the West London side as they suffered relegation to the Championship after just one season in the top flight having starred in their 2017/18 promotion campaign, winning the division’s Player of the Season award.
Tottenham are also believed to have a long-standing interest in the player, who can operate at left-back and left-wing.
According to Sky Sports, it is United who have made the first move, with Sessegnon having just a year remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage.
Fulham are likely to hold out for a fee in the region of £40m for the highly-rated teenager, though may have to settle to less as he enters the final year of his contract.
