Manchester United are hoping to complete the ‘big-money’ signings of two new players before the first-team squad report back for pre-season.
United are expecting a busy summer in the transfer market as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to overhaul his under-performing squad, with several stars set to leave the club this summer.
According to the Sun, the United hierarchy are looking to complete the signing of two new additions before the players return for pre-season on July 1.
The club are said to be targeting a new centre-back and have been linked with the likes of Ajax youngster Matthijs de Ligt and Leicester’s Harry Maguire.
Midfield is also said to be a priority for Solskjaer after Ander Herrera’s departure, with Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes reportedly a key target whilst Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier has also been linked.
Solskjaer is reportedly keen to have completed all of the club’s summer business before the squad depart for their tour of Australia, China and Singapore in July.
A plug for Frank Lampard to be the next #Chelsea boss and why they may defy all logic and win silverware next season even with a transfer ban. ?
