Manchester United are prepared to pay £33.5m to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth this summer.

Semenyo is set to be at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between England’s elite in the summer transfer window. The Ghana international has admirers in Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, in addition to the interest from Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim wants to improve the firepower and dynamism of his side with Semenyo fitting the brief.

The winger has scored seven goals and provided four assists for the Cherries this season, while his underlying numbers hint at the potential for future improvement.

He leads the Premier League for shots, while ranking third for successful take-ons and sixth for progressive carries.

According to Africa Foot, United are preparing an offer of £33.5m for the Ghanaian. However, Bournemouth value the 25-year-old at north of £40m and the Red Devils are likely to need to increase their offer to get a deal done.

Semenyo has emerged as a top target as Amorim overhauls his attacking options. Marcus Rashford and Antony were allowed to leave on loan in the January transfer window, while Alejandro Garnacho continues to be linked with an exit. Atletico Madrid are weighing up a move for the Argentina international.
