Manchester United are set to revive their interest in Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set for a huge overhaul at Old Trafford this summer, with defensive reinforcements a priority for the club.
The 46-year-old is believed to have as much as £200m to spend this summer and will launch a move for England international Maguire once the transfer window opens.
Maguire had been a target for former boss Jose Mourinho last summer, though United were priced out of a move by Leicester’s £80m valuation of the defender.
Despite Maguire being contracted to the King Power Stadium until 2023, ESPN are reporting United will return for the centre-back this summer and hope a sizeable offer can persuade Leicester to sell.
Of United’s current centre-back options Victor Lindelof has emerged as one of the club’s better performers this season, though doubts remain over the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones despite both players signing new deals at Old Trafford.
There are also doubts over the futures of Eric Bailly and Marcus Rojo, with both players likely to leave the club this summer.
