Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has told reporters that he wants to rest before making a decision on his future.
The Lazio midfielder has been linked with a big money move this summer after a number of impressive performances in Serie A this season. He also performed well for Serbia at this summer’s World Cup, despite his side failing to get out of their group which featured Brazil, Switzerland and Costa Rica.
However, those fans hoping that Serbia’s early exit from this summer’s World Cup in Russia will push any potential deal along seem to be sorely mistaken, with the Lazio star saying he will rest before making his decision:
The dynamic midfielder told Mediaset: “I need a little bit of rest now. I’ll return to Rome and I would be happy if I stay at Lazio, as I’m content there and I have a contract.
“I read something different in the papers every day, but I haven’t thought about it yet. First I’ll rest for a bit, then we’ll see.”
While Manchester United could blow anyone out of the water when putting together personal terms for the midfielder, it is thought that Marouane Fellaini has agreed a deal to stay at Old Trafford for a further two years.
This agreement by the Belgian could prevent the Red Devils adding a new midfielder to their squad, after they already splashed out £52 million to bring Brazil midfielder Fred to the club.
