Manchester United are targeting a £40m summer move for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be handed significant transfer funds this summer after being announced as the club’s next permanent manager last week, and the 46-year-old is eyeing a move for the England U21 full-back.

The 21-year-old has shone since establishing himself in the Crystal Palace first-team last season and is believed to also be attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Manchester United have now emerged as frontrunners for his signature, with the club targeting youth as they plan their summer recruitment.

United have made signing a right-back one of their top priorities this summer, with veteran Ashley Young and 20-year-old Diogo Dalot their current options.

Club captain Antonio Valencia is set to leave the club this summer when his contract expires, whilst out-of-favour Matteo Darmian has been linked with a return to Italy.
