Manchester United are planning to hold contract talks with Marcus Rashford once the World Cup is finished.
The England international has endured a difficult season at Old Trafford this season, with Jose Mourinho publicly berating the youngster after failing to step up to the mark in the absence of Romelu Lukaku towards the end of the season.
However reports today suggest that the Red Devils have no intention of letting that happen, and despite him having two years left on his current deal, they are planning to sit down with the 20-year-old followimg his return from Russia to discuss an improved contract.
An club source told The Sun: “The club want to sit down after the World Cup, even if his camp want to see what Jose does in the market.
“The club want to hike his money up once some of the higher earners are out of the door in the next few weeks.
“Rash wants to be put at ease and the club want to show him how highly they value him and that he has a long future here.”
