Manchester United have opened talks with the agent of Youri Tielemans regarding a potential move to Old Trafford.
The Monaco midfielder looks set to leave the French club this summer and is attracting the interest from some of the Premier League‘s leading sides.
Both United and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old, who enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Leicester in the second half of last season.
The Belgian international scored three goals and provided a further four assists for Brendan Rodgers’ side, who is still keen on signing Tielemans on a permanent deal.
According to well regarded Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, United have now opened talks with Tielemans’ agent, as they bid to strengthen their midfield options.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be keen to add at least two new midfielders to his options this summer, with Ander Herrera having left the club and doubts over the long-term future of Paul Pogba.
United are reportedly targeting young players with potential to develop in the transfer window, moving away from the club’s policy of signing expensive marquee recruits.
Capped 23 times for Belgium despite his young age, Tielemans fits the criteria of player Solskjaer is looking to recruit in his first summer in charge at Old Trafford.
