Inter Milan’s new manager Frank de Boer has spoken about a possible move for Manchester United utility man, Daley Blind.
Blind played for De Boer during his time at Ajax before completing a move to Manchester United two seasons ago, and was expected to be one of the casualties of Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford this summer.
He has been linked with making a move to the San Siro to reunite with De Boer, who has been speaking about a possible move for the Dutchman.
We have a lot of good defenders here but we’ll see. But I like him as a player for sure, he’s fantastic.
He is very happy at Manchester United though and played in the Community Shield.
Of course, any of my ex players at Ajax are guys I like to keep an eye on and watch them very closely.
I do the same with [Christian] Eriksen, [Toby] Alderweireld, all of those guys. I like to follow them and I do the same with Daley Blind.
I know his situation and I think he’s very happy and playing with confidence but we’ll see in the future.
Blind moved to Manchester United primarily as a defensive midfielder who could fill in at left-back, but showed his versatility last season by playing the whole campaign as a central defender under Louis van Gaal, a role he has so far continued under Jose Mourinho.
