Manchester United have made new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic one of the clubs vice-captains despite only commencing training with the club less than two weeks ago.
The former Sweden International returned to pre-season training last week and scored his first goal for the club just three minutes into his debut against Galatasaray in his home nation.
His arrival has apparently gelled the whole squad together, with some of the clubs youngsters said to be “in awe” of the 34-year old.
A United source told The Sun:
Some of the other lads, especially the young ones, are in awe of Zlatan.
He brings a presence to the place and people look up to him after everything that he has achieved through his career.
He has experience at the highest level and is seen as an obvious captain when the other lads aren’t on the pitch.
The striker joined the club on a free transfer after his contract at French Champions Paris Saint-Germain expired, and has now been made one of the clubs Vice-Captains and will fill in in the absence of Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick.
