Manchester United are reported to be interested in a £40m move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set for a major overhaul of his squad this summer, with the club having endured a disappointing campaign finishing sixth in the Premier League.
The 46-year-old is believed to be targeting young, hungry players who he feels can develop at Old Trafford, as the club move away from signing marquee, established talent.
According to The Sun, Solskjaer is eyeing a move for ex-Celtic forward Dembele, who has shone since joining Lyon in a £20m deal from the Scottish champions last summer.
The 22-year-old has impressed since making the move to Ligue 1, scoring 20 goals in all competitions for the French side this season.
Dembele’s arrival would cast further doubts over the future of Romelu Lukaku, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
The Belgian struggled for form during United’s dismal end to the season, with Italian duo Inter Milan and Juventus reportedly interested in the 26-year-old.
