Manchester United linked to £25m PSV winger

Manchester United are being linked with having an interest in PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn.

The Red Devils have an abundance of attacking options within their ranks, however, rather bizarrely, they have no natural right-wingers, with the likes of Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard often having to fill in on the right flank.

It is being claimed by The Sun that Manchester United are monitoring the PSV winger Steven Bergwijn, with the Premier League giants having already sent scouts to watch him in action this season.

The report claims that United will send more scouts to watch him play this weekend as PSV face FC Emmen on Sunday, and could even make a move for him this month.

Bergwijn has scored nine goals in 16 appearances for PSV, and has been rewarded with two caps for the Dutch national team.

The report claims that he is valued at £25 million by the Eredivisie side, and if he were to move to Manchester United, he would follow in the footsteps of Jaap Stam, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Park Ji Sung and Memphis Depay, who have all swapped the Dutch giants for a move to Manchester United.

The 21-year-old has previously been linked with moves to Liverpool, Bordeaux and Torino.
