West Ham defender Issa Diop is being linked with a potential move to Manchester United.
The Frenchman only moved to the London Stadium last summer, making a £22 million move from Toulouse, and enjoyed a fine debut campaign in the Premier League, playing in 33 of the Hammers top flight games.
Such have been his performances for West Ham, Sky Sports are today reporting that Manchester United are keen to sign him this summer.
The Red Devils are desperate to add to their defensive ranks after they conceded a record 54 goals in the top flight last season, although would have to fork out a world record fee for a centre-back for their two top defensive targets, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Leicester’s Harry Maguire.
Diop has emerged as a potentially cheaper alternative for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, who are reportedly willing to pay £45 million plus an unnamed player to take the 22-year-old to Old Trafford, although West Ham insist he is not for sale.
