Manchester United officials are furious that a £35 million deal to bring Barcelona defender Terry Mina to Old Trafford has collapsed at the last minute.
Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho has been eager to sign a new centre-back all summer, and having been left frustrated with his pursuit of Spurs‘ Toby Alderweireld and Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, the Portuguese coach turned his attention to Colombia international Mina, who impressed at this summers World Cup in Russia.
According to the Sun, United’s transfer fixer Matt Judge traveled to Barcelona last week to finalise a deal for the talented defender. However, Mina’s agent Felipe Russo has been constantly changing his demands and missed a deadline of last Friday to have the deal signed and delivered, leaving United officials fuming.
However, it is not all bad news for Manchester United fans with the club reportedly close to sealing the £60 million capture of Spurs defender Alderweireld after a major breakthrough in negotiations overnight.
