Bayern Munich have denied reports linking midfielder Thiago Alcantara with a move away from the club.
The Spanish midfielder has been linked with a summer transfer, with the player thought to be keen on a return to his former club Barcelona.
More recent reports have suggested that Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing the player, with Bayern claimed to have slapped a £62 million (€70m) price tag on his head.
However, Bayern have rubbished the rumours, with chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stating that the player will stay.
“Thiago is an important player for us and we have never once articulated the thought that he should leave the club,” he told Abendzeitung.
“There has never been anything to the story whatsoever.”
The Bundesliga champions currently have nine central midfielders at the club following the arrival of Leon Goretzka from Schalke.
