Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has set his sights on Atletico Madrid star Lucas Hernandez according to reports.

The Sun claim that Manchester City will pay £20million to bring the young defender to the club as Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen his defence.

If City do make their move for the 20-year old, Atletico will be powerless in their attempts to stop him, as the rising star has a contract buy out clause which stands at just £20million. Diego Simeone is desperately trying to convince the youngster to remain in Spain.

Bayern Munich and PSG have also been attracted by the youngster following an excellent second half to last season, where he was a regular feature for Atleti.

Manchester City have also been strongly linked with making big money moves for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and Everton’s John Stones.
