Pep Guardiola is plotting a raid on his former club Bayern Munich in an attempt to strengthen his Manchester City defence.
The Spaniard is believed to be close to completing a six month loan deal for Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber according to reports.
Manchester City started the season in almost unstoppable form, but have since started to drop points, falling to fourth place, seven points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Badstuber, who can play at both centre-back and left back, has made just three appearances for the German Champions this season.
