Manchester City are close to completing a deal to sign Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic according to reports.
Reports in the midfielders homeland of Croatia claim that the Barcelona midfielder will complete a big money move to Manchester City this January after falling out of favour under coach Luis Enrique.
The midfielder, who has not featured for the first team since El Classico at the beginning of December, was left out of tonight’s 1-1 draw to Villarreal, only further fueling speculation regarding his future at the Nou Camp.
Manchester City are in the market for a new midfielder following the injury sustained to Ilkay Gundogan, who only moved to the club last summer.
