Manchester United will play a key role in a potential transfer of Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe according to reports.

Man Utd are one of a number of clubs who are reportedly interested in signing the striker with reports earlier this year suggesting that Jose Mourinho was bewitched by the 18-year-old.

However reports recently have linked Real Madrid and Arsenal as the most likely destination for the youngster while Chelsea are also believed to be interested.

Reports in Spain today however suggest Manchester United will play a key role in any potential transfer due to their interest in signing Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

Diario Gol claim that the Spanish and European Champions plan to squeeze as much money as possible out of the Europa League winners for Morata. United are reported to have lodged a £60m bid for the Spanish international, with Real Madrid valuing him around £78m.

This would allow Real Madrid to fund a huge world record move for Mbappe, who is could move for an incredible £120m!

Mbappe scored 26 goals in all competitions for Monaco, including six in nine Champions League matches as he helped guide the French club to the Ligue 1 title and Champions League semi-finals.

Manchester United have also been linked with a world record move for unsettled Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo. It was claimed that the  32-year-old was unhappy and had insisted upon a move away from the Bernabeu. However after talks with club president Florentino Perez, he has since softened his stance and is expected to stay.
