Manchester United star Eric Bailly wants urgent talks with Jose Mourinho amid concerns regarding his future.
The dynamic defender is widely regarded by Manchester United fans as the best centre-back at the club, but towards the end of last season he bizarrely found himself behind Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
United boss Jose Mourinho claimed that he was giving those with a chance to play at this summer’s World Cup the chance to impress, with Bailly’s Ivory Coast side having failed to qualify for the tournament in Russia.
However, those arguments were questioned when Bailly was left out of the starting lineup for the FA Cup final against Chelsea in favour of Smalling and Jones, even though Smalling had missed out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad.
Now according to The Sun, Bailly is keen to hold ‘urgent’ talks with the Portuguese boss regarding his future.
While he is thought to be happy at Old Trafford, he does not want to play second fiddle to the England duo.
Bailly moved to United just weeks after Mourinho’s appointment in a £30 million move from Villarreal.
