Manchester United have sent scouts to watch midfield target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic ahead of a potential summer move.
United are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements this summer, with Michael Carrick already confirmed to be retiring, and Marouane Fellaini set to leave the club on a free transfer, with his contract having just two-and-a-half months left to run.
There are also doubts over the future of the likes of Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera, who have both struggled to make a consistent impact for the Red Devils this season.
With thoughts already turning to their summer recruitment, United reportedly send scouts to watch Milinkovic-Savic in action last week in Lazio’s 4-1 Europa League defeat to RB Salzburg
The Serbian didn’t have the best of games in fairness, and was replaced after just 69 minutes having completed just 22 passes in the game.
While the 23-year-old had an off game, he has scored 11 goals this season and is highly rated by his club, who value him at €100 million (£89m) by his club.[ads2)]
If United do sign the Serbian, it is likely he will not be the only midfield arrival to Old Trafford this summer. The Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Jean Michel Seri, Toni Kroos and Fred, to make but a few.
