Man Utd man wants to move to Italy

Manchester United midfield Marouane Fellaini prefers a move to Italy according to reports.

The Belgian has less than three months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford and is widely expected to leave the club this summer after rejecting a number of contract offers from United.

The former Everton midfielder endured a torrid start to life at Manchester United following his £27.5m move from Goodison Park, but eventually won over fans, with Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho both seeming to have fallen in love with the afro sporting star.

With his contract set to expire at the end of June, he has been linked with moves to both Turkey and France. Besiktas were one of the initial front runners for his signature, although more recent reports have suggested that French league leaders PSG were also interested, while Monaco have also shown an interest.

However, according to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Fellaini would actually prefer a move to Serie A rather than a move the Super Lig or Ligue 1.

It is claimed that Italian side Roma are also interested in signing the midfielder, and while there are other sides interested, Italy is his preferred destination.

Fellaini has been restricted to just 19 appearances for United this season, scoring four goals and managing one assist.
