Manchester United have once again been linked with a £60 million move for Chelsea winger, Willian.

The Brazilian has been in excellent form this season, scoring 13 goals in 45 appearances for the club so far, his best ever goal return in his entire career.

Despite his excellent form, he hasn’t always been a guaranteed starter under Antonio Conte this season, starting just 16 of the Blues’ 29 Premier League games of this current campaign to date.

There were reports last summer that Manchester United were interested in signing the 29-year-old in each of the last two summer transfer windows, especially with United boss Jose Mourinho known to be a huge admirer from his time in charge at Chelsea.

Willian was one of the only players who didn’t down tools in Mourinho’s fated final season at Stamford Bridge, and according to The Sun he could be back on the Portuguese’s radar this summer.

A club source told the newspaper:

“Jose is still interested in him. The club had a sniff last year but Matic was the only possibility.

“He does not have long left on his contract. The boss is a huge fan of his, he is always pull of praise.

“God knows where this leaves the rest of the wide players at the club but it cannot be good for them.

“He is a fantastic trainer with a great attitude towards his football according to Jose.”

It is claimed that if United could pursuade Chelsea to sell, it could cost around £60m.

The Red Devils signed Alexis Sanchez in January, but have struggled to get the most out of the former Barcelona and Arsenal star.
